Linsley, Scott Ellsworth - 6/4/10 to 2/1/04, St. Paul corrected.
Preceded in death by his wife Virginia Marie (Gadbois) and
son William Emory Linsley. He is survived by sons Scott
John of CA and Craig Anson, daughter Teschon Catherine,
grandsons Mark Andrew of CA and Douglas Paul of CA, brother Parke of
CA and nephew Dennis of CA. Scott attended the following
schools: Como Elementary, S.P.A., Blake, U High, U of M.
Scott graduated in the upper 2% of his Electrical Engineering
class and was a member of Tau Beta Pi. Scott was a
Professional Registered Engineer. He retired as Chief
Operating Engineer of Metro Waste Comm. and was past President
of the Central States Water Polution Control Association.
He resigned as a Major from the U.S. Air Force after 19 1/2
years. He had lunch with Orville Wright at Wright's home
during WWII and outfitted the bombers for both bombs that ended
WWII. He was passionate about music and took a computer
class in his 80s so that he could convert his massive tape
collection to CD-rom. Scott was listed in Who's Who in America.
Fr. John Fitzpatrick remarried Scott and Virginia at St. Andrew's
Catholic Church, 1051 Como Ave., St. Paul, MN. Fr. Fitzpatrick
will perform Catholic burial rites at Church of St. Vincent de
Paul cemetery in Brooklyn Park on Monday, August 20th at 11 a.m.
VVA #470 under the direction of Mike Clark will perform
military honors at the same time.
