When I'm busy cooking dinner And the phone rings, it makes me tense Then my patience grows much thinner Cuz you're selling me long distance Call me You darn telemarketers call me I'm cooking my steak but you call me You always know when I'm around Saying "no" just simply won't do So I tune out altogether I hang up although you're not through Now my steak, it tastes like leather Call me You darn telemarketers call me Give me a break and don't call me Or wait until I'm not around You're out to get me You've never met me Wish I had your number too I'd call all morning And through the evening I can be annoying too When you call I'll let the phone ring You'll give up, that's what I'm wishin' I'll be taken off your phone list Once you're making no commission Call me You won't waste your time, you won't call me New victims you'll find, you won't call me You'll find someone else who's around
