I have done a handful of memorials dedicated to special individuals. I admired Ed Bradley of the TV show, 60 Minutes, for many years. Ed was born on June 22, 1941 almost three weeks after my brother, Bill. Ed loved music and was a war correspondent during the Viet-nam era. Ed was critically wounded in Viet-nam but did not receive a Purple Heart for his willingness to put himself at risk for his fellow comrades. Ed died on the 9th of this month just 2 days before Veterans Day. Since I had already created a Veterans Day tribute for all veterans, I created this work to honor Ed. The music selection was easy to make thanks to Ed's love of jazz. He also knew and paid for the educations of many youngsters who will be responsible for changing the course of human events. May God keep him.

Don Hewitt, the creator of 60 minutes, said the following about Ed Bradley: "He recalled one newsroom meeting where he told those gathered that he hired Ed Bradley for 60 Minutes because he’s a member of a minority." Everyone gasped.
“He’s a great gentleman and a great reporter,” Hewitt told them. “If that doesn’t make him a member of a minority, I don’t know what does.”
Life is an ever changing cycle of birth, living, and death. It is so precious that those that take it for granted are not living life to its full limits. May God help them before it is too late. The following is offered to those who appreciate the wonderful world that we live in and to commerate the life of Ed Bradley from a different perspective than the standard obituaries that you can find on the Internet.
