Somewhere In Time

Valentine's Day is a special time of year with memories full of happy and sad times.  We commemorate it with hearts and flowers and presents of all types.  My Mother instilled some special thoughts in her children before she died.  "Life is real and life is earnest."  "Life is for the living."  When she died on February 9th, 1990, Dad placed a Valentine's Day card in her coffin that he had bought for her before she died.  After 50 years of marriage, Dad's poignant comments were: "I have lost my partner."  "What will I do without her?"  Dad had often said: "Our immortality is in the memories of those we leave behind."  They were both right.  Dad followed his partner on February 1st, 2004.  May God keep you and yours on this special day.

Mother loved to quote Shakespeare.  Shakespeare said that things said in jest often have a more meaningful side.  And many serious issues are often said in jest.  Therefore, some humor seems appropriate at this point.
