Happy Xmas (The War Is Over) If You Want It.
This music was published about 1971 as a protest to the Viet-nam war. It would be just as appropriate for John Lennon to protest the Iraq war. The 3 Tenors created a Christmas Special in the late 90s which is available on DVD. The song has become a Christmas standard and was used by the 3 Tenors for the finale of their concert. It was my first choice for Christmas 2008. However, it seemed more appropriate that it should be put in the category of politics from the viewpoint of John Lennon. Because of the graphic nature of the violence, it is suggested that the accompanying video should be viewed by those over 13.
