Dear Sir,
I have been employed with the National
Park Service since 2000. I was hired
as a permanent federal employee In
October 2001. It was a GS-05/ 07/ 09
Federal Law Enforcement Officers (Park
Ranger) position at Ozark National
Scenic Riverways in Van Buren, MO.
I am still not employed and it's been
over a year and a half. My background
investigation was held up for over a
year. Issue's arose when it finally was
finished. I mitigated, explained and
refuted these issues. This was sent
certified mail return receipt requested
to a Mrs. Joan Banks. Mrs. Banks will
not return my calls, letters or e-mails.
I started a congressional inquiry. And,
I started asking questions concerning
issues in the investigation. It would
appear that veterans discrimination was
involved. I have signed, written and
dated affidavits. One of which from a
retired federal law enforcement officer.
The congressman's office has recommended
I "seek" legal council. I blew the whistle
on the Park Service concerning veterans
discrimination. I feel my civil rights
have been violated (1964 Civil Rights Act).
And, my right to due process has been
infringed upon.
I feel an illegal investigation is being
conducted at work. I now work for Mammoth
Cave N.P.. I have been harassed at work
and followed after work. I believe it is
whistle blowers retaliation for reporting
veterans discrimination.
Please, contact me at your earliest
convenience if you are interested in taking
my case or you know of anyone who would be.
I am a temporary federal employee and really
can't afford to pay a lot of money. I know
there is a time limit for this type of case
(2 years). If you could take it pro-bono or
on contingency it would be great! I would be
able to pay some expenses.
Respectfully,
John C. Corley
Response to your e-mail is above.
Take care, as always, Scott
