Where Have All The Flowers Gone?

Ever Ask the Question.........

Have I Done My Best?

The answer may determine how you die.  After working in nursing homes for a number of years while going to school, I came to a simple conclusion after watching a number of deaths of the elderly.  There are two types of deaths.  The first is the person who twists and turns, swearing, and fouling his bed.  The second lies back and calmly accepts their right to eternal peace.

What was the difference in attitude?  The first type has lived a terrible life and wants a second chance.  The second type has done the best they could and doesn't want a second chance.  I have done my best to be at peace with myself.  Have you?  On a lighter note, I thought you might enjoy the following:

Three friends die in a car accident, and upon their arrival to heaven, they are all asked one question

"When you are in your casket and family and friends are mourning upon you, what would you like to hear them say about you?"

The first man says, "I would like to hear them say that I was a great doctor of my time, and a great family man."

The second man says, "I would like to hear that I was a wonderful husband and school teacher who made a huge difference in our children of tomorrow."

The last man replies:

"I would like to hear them say: 'LOOK! HE'S MOVING!'"
